Celebrating Black History 2023

Celebrating Black History 2023
Posted on 02/01/2023
Five decades ago, President Ford officially recognized Black History Month calling upon the public to “seize the opportunity to honor the too-often neglected accomplishments of black Americans in every area of endeavor throughout our history.”
Join Topeka Public Schools as we honor those living and dead whose work and efforts have impacted the masses. Throughout the month of February, schools will be holding activities celebrating Black History Month. #WeAreTPS
