Topeka Public Schools Partnered with West Ridge Mall to Collect School Supplies
Posted on 08/13/2021

Topeka Public Schools partnered with West Ridge Mall to collect school supplies for the 2021-2022 school year. West Ridge Mall, which holds a school supply fundraiser every year, partnered with TPS to host a “Stuff the Bus” event which collected school supplies from the community and some businesses.

Topeka Public Schools received a lot of school supplies because of the drive – enough to fill a car! These supplies help TPS provide resources for students who need it.

Brenda Stewart, the General Manager for West Ridge Mall, emphasized the importance of the community in collecting these donations. In reaction to the amount of donations received this year, Stewart said that they, “were really pleased with the donations we received this year. We also had a local business that donated quite a lot of supplies too so again our community is helping us to help Topeka Public Schools.”

Some of the businesses that donated to the drive were American Eagle, Maurices, SkyZone, Topsy’s Popcorn, and Worth a 1000 Words.

Topeka Public Schools thanks West Ridge Mall and the community for their donations and continued support.
