HEALTH & IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS
Students are required to provide certification of current immunizations. Annual physical exams are required for participation in middle and high school athletics. See our Student Health Information for more details about these and other important topics.
IMPORTANT DATES FOR 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR
- The first day of school for grades K, 6, and 9 is Tuesday, August 12, 2025.
- The first day of school for Hope Street Academy, Avondale Academy, and Capital City School is Tuesday, August 12, 2025.
- All other students grades K-12 return on Wednesday, August 13, 2025.
- The first day of preschool is Wednesday, August 20, 2025.

MEALS FOR THE 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR
We are excited to provide meals to all TPS students free of charge for the 2025-2026 school year!
Families are still encouraged to complete the Free & Reduced Meal Application. This information is vital for the district to receive funding for many programs, technology, textbooks, and much more to ensure student success! Families may qualify for reduced text book fees and free or reduced cost internet from Cox Communications.

- Doors open at 8:10 AM (Late Start Friday: 9:00 AM)
- Breakfast: 8:10 - 8:30 AM (Late Start Friday: 9:00 - 9:20 AM)
Middle School:
- 7:50 AM - 2:45 PM
- Doors open at 7:30 AM
- Breakfast: 7:30 - 7:50 AM
High School:
- 7:55 AM - 3:00 PM
- Doors open at 7:15 AM
- Breakfast: 7:15 - 7:45 AM
