Students are required to provide certification of current immunization.
Every student entering a Kansas school for the first time up to the age of nine years must present the results of a health assessment conducted within 12 months prior to school entry. A licensed physician or a nurse who has completed the Department of Health and Environment training and certification may complete this assessment.
All children attending classes must receive appropriate immunizations in all required series or be in the process of receiving the required series unless there is a medical or religious exemption. Students are given 30 school days to complete the required immunizations.
