Topeka Public Schools has been chosen as a stop on the 2021 KANSAS CAN success tour!

The goal of the tour is to implement the Kansas State Department of Education’s (KSDE) vision: “Kansas leads the world in the success of each student." In order to meet their mission and vision, KSDE is asking for feedback from the community.

Districts were selected based on innovation and performance. Topeka Public Schools is honored to be included in this years’ tour.

KANSAS CAN will be visiting Topeka Public Schools on Wednesday September 8th, 2021 from 1:00-2:30pm at Bishop Professional Development Center.

During their visit, Dr. Randy Watson, Kansas Commissioner of Education, and Dr. Brad Neuenswander, Deputy Commissioner, will hold a presentation for TPS Board of Education members, teachers, educational officials, business leaders, parents and students. The goal of the visit is to speak with individuals in the district and TPS community and learn what they expect from the state’s education system.

The first KANSAS CAN tour was in 2015 and included 27 school districts. This year, KSDE will be visiting 46 school districts around the state during a 4 week period.
