Do you have comments or concerns you would like to share with the Board? Do you have an issue you would like the Board to address? Below you will find the information you need to address the Board or propose your agenda item.
Addressing the Board
If you would like to address the Board, you must complete an Intent to Address the Board form and return it to the President of the Board or the Clerk of the Board (address at left) by 4:30 p.m. on the day of the Board meeting, or fax/email it no later than 4:30 p.m. If you submit an email, it should contain the same information on the form, and you can send it to the Clerk of the Board at [email protected].
Individual remarks before the Board are limited to three minutes. When the Board President calls your name, please come forward to the podium, use the microphone so that all may hear, and state your name and address at the beginning of your remarks.
Placing Items On the Agenda
If you would like to have an item placed on the agenda, please make your request in writing, using the Request to Appear on the Agenda form available from the Clerk of the Board (address at left). Requests must be received by the Clerk at least eight days prior to the meeting.
An item must be placed on the agenda before the Board can officially act on it. This allows time for all who wish to be heard on a subject to arrange to be present when official action is taken.
All requests are reviewed by the Superintendent and the Board President, who cooperatively develop a proposed Board agenda. Submission of a request does not guarantee placement on the agenda.
