Food service Staff

We are a dedicated group of food service professionals, working together to prepare and serve delicious and nutritious meals and snacks to improve the health and wellness of the children in our community.

How we support Topeka Public Schools

  • We serve meals in15 grade schools, 6 middle schools, 3 high schools, 4 alternative education buildings, 8 private schools and 2 preschool buildings.
  • We have three base kitchens that prepare food for and delivery to our satellite schools. They are Highland Park High School, French Middle School and Topeka High School.
  • There are over 127 staff members in the Child Nutrition Services Department.
  • We served 664,470 breakfast meals and 1,492,011 student lunches last year.
  • We purchased over 2 million cartons of milk and over 700,000 cartons of juice during one school year.
  • Eleven grade schools participate in the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program.
  • We had 30 Summer Food Sites in 2022 and served 39,747 breakfast meals, 78,599 lunches and 4,859 snacks.
  • We support the “Student’s First” philosophy.
