TPS Student Recovering After Heart Transplant

McEachron student, Elijah Diaz underwent a heart transplant surgery this weekend and is doing well. Thank you for pouring out such love, hope, and encouragement to the Diaz family. Elijah's heart transplant went well and he is in recovery, he is such a fighter!

The love expressed by everyone is what makes Topeka so special, and the Diaz family looks forward to reading all of your messages when Elijah is out of recovery. Thank you for joining Dr. Anderson with the principal, is amazing teachers, Ms. Kahle and Ms. Washington, and the entire McEachron community in uplifting Elijah with love, hope, and support from afar.

As Elijah continues to recover and we send sunshine his way, on Wednesday, we encourage everyone to wear your McEachron colors, green and yellow.
