TPS Welcomes Two New School Resource Officers

This month, TPS Chief of Police Ron Jeanneret announced the hiring of two recently retired Topeka Police Detectives.


Officer Matt Ford served his country in the US Army for 10 years, in addition to serving TPD as a Patrol Supervisor, Crime Scene Investigator, and Crisis Negotiator. He is currently an assistant football coach at Topeka West and an assistant with the Topeka West Army ROTC.


Officer Matt McClimans served in Patrol and as an SRO for six years at Topeka High and one year at Eisenhower. Matt finished his career as a Detective in the Special Victims Unit, where he assisted victims in the investigation of sexual assault cases.
