Rebecca Morrisey Receives National Honor

Rebecca Morrisey, who recently announced her retirement as the principal of Topeka High School, has been honored nationally for her support of theatre education.


The Educational Theatre Association announced this week that Ms. Morrisey is one of three principals nationwide to receive the 2023 EdTA Administrator’s Award. Ms. Morrisey was nominated by the Topeka High Theatre Department Troupe 210.


Ms. Morrisey shared that she is truly touched by the appreciation from her theatre teachers at Topeka High.


In addition, Topeka High School received the Outstanding school and Outstanding Impact Awards. Topeka West High School also received the Outstanding Impact Award.
