Fees can be paid during the Online Registration process via credit card, debit card or e-check.
If you have completed Online Registration you do not have to attend Walk-In Registration at your school unless you wish to meet with Transportation, Food Services, a school nurse, drop off physical/medical/other forms, or wish to pay fees in person.
Students registering for the first time must present appropriate "proof of identity" to the school principal. A scanned document can be submitted during the online registration process or proof can be shown at walk-in-registration or the first day of school.
New enrollees in Head Start, preschool, kindergarten, or first grade must present a certified copy of:
- the child's birth certificate or
- the court order placing the child in the custody of the Secretary of Social and Rehabilitation Services.

Health & Immunization Requirements
Students are required to provide certification of current immunization.
Annual physical exams are required for participation in middle and high school athletics and cheerleading.

Other Information & Requirements
In the case of a new student registering in grades 2 - 12, a certified transcript from the previous school attended is required. For more information, contact your child's school.
Head Start children must meet federal income guidelines.

Important Dates This School Year
The first day of school for grades K-6, 9 is Tuesday, August 16, 2016.
The first day for Hope Street Academy High School and Capital City Schools is Tuesday, August 16, 2016.
The first day of school for grades 7, 8, 10-12 is Wednesday, August 17, 2016.
The last day of school (preK-12) is Thursday, May 25, 2017 and is a half-day.
Staff are on duty beginning August 10, 2016
Winter recess is from December 21 through January 4. Students will not be in attendance from the end of the school day Tuesday, December 20 through the evening of Tuesday, January 3. Class resumes Wednesday, January 4, 2017.
Lists of required school supplies can be found online at your child's school page. Lists may also be obtained in person at your child's school, and at many area retailers.
- HPHS, THS, TWHS: 7:55 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
- Hope Street: 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
- Capital City: 7:30 a.m. - 2:25 p.m.
- Middle School Hours: 7:50 a.m. - 2:45 p.m.
- Elementary Hours: 8:40 a.m. - 3:40 p.m.
Fridays: 9:30 a.m. - 3:40 p.m. (except Friday, August 14)
