Topeka West Scholar Recognized as Rising Star in Unified Sports
Topeka Public Schools is proud to recognize Miranda Stallard, a student-athlete from Topeka West High School, who was recently named the recipient of the Children’s Mercy Rising Star Award for her participation in Unified Sports.
The district offers Unified Champion Schools programming at all elementary, middle, and high schools in the district in partnership with Special Olympics Kansas, providing inclusive athletic opportunities for students of all abilities.
On February 4, Miranda was honored at the Win for KC Women’s Sports Awards at the T-Mobile Center for her courage, determination, and leadership through sport. This recognition highlights not only her athletic accomplishments, but also her commitment to breaking barriers and modeling inclusion.
We congratulate Miranda on this well-deserved honor and thank her for representing Topeka West and Topeka Public Schools with pride!
