Highland Park Students Shine at Lied Center in KU Collaboration

Congratulations to the Highland Park High School Art and Music Departments for an incredible evening of cross-curricular collaboration with The University of Kansas!

On Tuesday evening, the Highland Park Scots Bands performed at the Lied Center of Kansas – Performing Arts Center, joining the KU School of Music’s University Band for a special concert. One of the highlights included a joint performance of Tricycle, featuring a surprise guest appearance by Baby Jay!

Adding to the evening’s creativity, Ms. Tiffany Pryor’s painting students showcased original artwork inspired by one of the University Band’s selections. Their visual pieces were projected on screen during the performance, creating a beautiful blend of music and visual art.
