The GED® Tests are developed by the General Educational Development Testing Service (GEDTS) of the American Council on Education in partnership with Pearson VUE. The tests measure the major academic skills and knowledge associated with a high school program. The GED® consists of 4 subject areas and are administered throughout the year at a participating testing center.
Upon successful completion of the GED® Exam you will receive a Kansas State High School Diploma issued by the Kansas Board of Regents.
The new GED® 2014 Test is computer-based. To register for one or more of the four subject areas (Math, Science, Social Studies, Language Arts/Reading), go to www.ged.com. You will need to set up an account. Once that is done, you can find a Testing Center and Schedule a Test on your Dashboard. You can also sign up and take the GED Ready™ practice test.
Please see GED Subject Areas for more information on Scoring and what will be on the test.
