The College Prep Academy (CPA) is an amazing opportunity for Topeka Public Schools students. Our scholars graduate from this advanced program prepared to succeed in the college and career options of their choice. Through advanced coursework and real-world learning, students strengthen their academic skills in preparation for collegiate success. Additionally, CPA helps students develop critical professional skills, such as time management and teamwork. Our students visit colleges, intern at businesses, join extracurricular activities and volunteer in the Topeka community. The CPA team provides a supportive, family-like environment to help students succeed and achieve at high levels.
Students have the opportunity to join the CPA in middle school. CPA scholars are bused to the beautiful new Topeka Center for Advanced Learning and Careers (TCALC) building to complete two rigorous CPA courses per day in both middle and high school. In addition to completing these challenging courses, CPA scholars also have many opportunities inside and outside the classroom to develop their professional skills. Students complete remaining courses at their home schools. Please reach out with any questions or if you would like more information!
If you would like to take a virtual tour of the TCALC building, please visit the TCALC Virtual Tour. TCALC is located at 500 SW Tuffy Kellogg Drive near Hummer Sports Park.
