John Buckendorff is a school leader and life-long educator. His roles over the past 24 years include Principal, Assistant Principal, Spanish Teacher, Business and Technology Teacher, and Coach for football, basketball, wrestling, and baseball. His education journey began at the University of Arizona studying education while there playing on a football scholarship. He transferred to Southwestern Oklahoma State University and continued playing football as a financial means to complete a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology with a Business Management minor. He continued his education with a Master of Education Degree in Special Education from Southwestern College, a Master of Science in School Leadership from Baker University, and is currently completing District Level Courses at Newman University. He and his wife Amy have 6 adult children who live in Kansas and Oklahoma. John and his wife will both be working for Topeka Public Schools and are excited about becoming involved in the local community and building new friendships.
