• NCAA Eligibility 

    National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Eligibility

    If a student wants to participate in Division I or Division II sports, start the certification process early, usually by the end of the junior year. Meet with your Coach and/or Counselor for more information.

     

    In general, to be certified a student must

    • Beginning August 1, 2016, NCAA Division I will require 10 core courses to be completed prior to the seventh semester (seven of the 10 must be a combination of English, math or natural or physical science.)

    • Present a required grade-point average in core courses.

    • Present a required score on ACT or SAT assessments.

    • Graduate from high school.

    • Complete the core courses listed below:
