Topeka Public Schools USD 501

Topeka Public Schools Foundation

Celebrating its 25th year, the purpose of Topeka Public Schools Foundation (previously known as Topeka School Fund or TSF) is to foster community support for educational projects, grants, and scholarships. Simply stated it is in place to raise private dollars to support TPS initiatives beyond the budget constraints of the legislative financial allocation. Its mission is to assist in providing maximum public school education opportunities through engagement of the community and development of partnerships.

Established in 1986, the Topeka Public Schools Foundation is a not-for-profit organization started by Superintendent Marvin Edwards and a group of visionary citizens headed by Emery Fager of Commerce Bank and Trust, now known as CoreFirst. TPS Foundation is governed by a volunteer Board which consists of community leaders, educators, and parents and an Executive Director. TPS also supports the Foundation by providing office space.
