Summer School Programs
Topeka Public Schools offers several opportunities for summer learning at all age ranges, both remedial classes and expanded learning. Below are the 2012 program offerings which have currently been submitted. Transportation to and from the school site is NOT provided, however some programs have multiple sites for your convenience.
Summer Driver Education
- Enrollment: Monday, May 7, 6:30-7:30pm @ Hope Street Academy (SW 19th & Hope St)

Elementary Summer Program
- Dates: June 4 through June 29
- Times: 8am to Noon
- Location: Meadows, and Scott elementary schools
- Enrollment:
- Meadows — May 2, 5:00-7:00pm
- Scott — May 3, 5:00-7:00pm
- Enroll at your school of choice.
- Fees:
- TPS students: $130
- TPS students receiving reduced price meals: $70
- TPS students receiving free meals: $50
- Out-of-district students: $180
- Fees are paid at enrollment.
- Scholarships are available for TPS students who qualify.
- Stipends may be available for TPS students who receive free or reduced price meals. First come, first served.

Middle School Summer Program
- Dates: May 29 through June 22
- Times: 8:30 to 11:30am
- Location: Jardine Middle School
- Enrollment: May 2, 5:30-7:00pm at Jardine MS
- Fees:
- TPS students: ?
- TPS students meeting Recommended Criteria: Free
- Out-of-district students: $180

High School Summer Program
- Dates:
- Session 1: May 29 – June 18
- Session 2: June 19 – July 10 (no school on July 4th)
- Times: 8:30am to 12:30pm
- Location: Hope Street Academy
- Enrollment:
- Thursday, May 10, 4:00 - 7:30pm
- Tuesday, May 22, 4:00 - 7:30pm
- Both enrollments are at Hope Street Academy.
- TPS students are required to get referral forms from their counselors and have them filled out prior to enrollment.
- Late fees will be assessed after May 22nd.
- Fees:
- TPS residents: $115.00 per course ($230 for both)
- Out-of-District Residents: $160.00 per course ($320 for both)
- Scholarship money will NOT be available for the 2012 summer school session.
- Refunds are not given for non-attendance. No refunds are made after May 29, 2012.

Outdoor Environmental Education Summer Day Camp
- Dates:Weeks of June 4, June 11, and June 18
- Times: 8am to 2:30pm
- Location: Meadows Elementary School
- Enrollment in-district only through May 25; out-of-district registration begins after May 27. Space filled on a first-come, first served basis
- Fees: $40/session in-district; $60/session out-of-district.
