Basic academic skills to improve literacy and prepare for GED® testing
The Adult Education Center classes begin with a 3-day Orientation session, during which applicants participate in an assessment to determine their current skill levels. Following Orientation, each participant has a conference with an instructor to determine which skill areas they need to focus on, and when they may begin classes. Progress is determined by the commitment and skill level of the student.
Day orientations take place from 8:30-11:30am. Potential students must attend all three days of orientation. Orientations are for a specific session:
Evening orientations take place from 5:30pm-9:00pm. Potential students must attend all three nights of orientation, and must be 18 or older. Orientations are for a specific session:
Note that persons employed full-time during the day will be given priority for evening class openings. Must be 18 or older to attend the evening class.
