The Topeka Public Schools Foundation is excited to announce the 18th annual Art for Kids Gala. The purpose of this charity fundraiser is to raise funds to create opportunities for advanced learning and expression in visual and performing arts for Topeka youth that otherwise could not be offered by Topeka Public Schools.

Friday, November 12th, 2010
5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Ramada Inn Hotel - Grand Ballroom

This year's featured artist is Topeka artist Connie English. The featured piece (pictured above), along with other works of art will be auctioned (live and silent) during the evening event. Art selections will include a variety of mediums including paintings, drawings, prints, photography, sculpture, pottery and jewelry. All artwork is donated by local artists and TPS staff and students.

In addition to the art auction, attendees will enjoy performances by TPS staff members during the Foundation Follies program. Hors d'oeuvres will be served.

All ticket holders will receive a signed and numbered print of this year's featured art. Tickets are $35. If you'll be attending, please send your check along with your name, address and phone number, and the names of your guests. Did you know?

As another source of support for Topeka students, the Foundation prints a limited number of note cards annually. Produced by Josten's Printing and Publishing, these cards bear an image of the featured artwork. Bundled in packages of 10, they can be purchased by contacting the Foundation office, or visiting the TPS Burnett Administrative Center.
