10th Annual God's Country Off-Road Duathlon, Lawrence, Kansas
Long course is 3.1 mile run, 18 mile bike and 3.1 mile run. Short course is 2 mile run and 9 mile bike. Start time is 10:00 a.m. at Lawrence River Trails. River Trails entrance is the park located off 8th street near the levee. Entry fee is $35 for early entry and $45 on race day. - Herbalife Weight Loss Challenge - can be used once if only doing the Herbalife weight loss products (like Weight Watchers). If you do the challege using exercise along with the weight loss products, you can it as long as you use the entire weight loss challenge and track it on your personal physical activity log.
- Rivermiles Activities as follows: Kawiloween Klassic, October , 20 miles on the Kansas River (Manhattan to Wamego); Missouri River 340, July/August, 340 miles on the Missouri River (KC to St. Charles in 88 hours or less); Gritty 50, June/July, 50 miles on the Kansas River (Lawrence to KC); Kawnivore 100, June, 100 miles on the Kansas River (Manhattan to Lawrence). Contact www.Rivermiles.com . You will need a copy of your completed registration for any of these activities to turn in with your Cafeteria Plan Participation Form.
- Dance for 100 Days with Kirstie Alley – www.contactmusic.com/news/kirstie-alley-to-dance-for-100-days - you may use this and keep track on your Personal Activity Log.
- Kansas Area Health & Wellness Committee “Walk to Jerusalem” activity. Record on your Personal Activity Log.
- Nutrisystem – counts only one time for one activity for the year.
- Line Dancing at HPHS. Contact Coleen Floberg at HPHS. Line dancing for several times a month. This will count for one activity. You will need documentation that you are a participant.
- Just Move It, at the 1st Christian Church. Walk to Leslie Sansone videos, 3 miles, stretching and cool down. Contact Shirley Williams at swilliam@topeka.k12.ks.us for more information. You will keep your walking logged on your Personal Activity form.
- Tennis League for adults (USTA League), contact Kurt Davids at kdavids@topeka.k12.ks.us for more information. A copy of your registration documenting your participation will be needed to attach to your CPP form.
- Weight Watchers – counts only one time for one activity for the year.
- Blended for Better Health – www.blendedforbetterhealth.com/ksstar/index.html . Counts for one activity for one time only for the year.
- Quincy’s Group Workout using Jullian Moore’s Biggest Loser techniques. Contact Audrey Miller at Quincy for more information. Keep track on your Personal Activity Log and have a signed participation form to attach to your CPP form.
- The Natatorium at Hummer Sports Park is open for free swimming for TPS staff at these times: Monday-Thursday, 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. & 5:00-6:30 p.m.; Fridays, 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Closed on weekends. Keep track of your swimming on your Personal Activity Log.
- Suggestion: people can walk at the Washburn Petro Center. Many people do this after work and on weekends. Use your Personal Activity Log to keep track of your walking.
- People who participate in the Healthy Steps sponsored by Stormont Vail Health Care at the West Ridge Mall cannot use the participation in this activity as an aprove health insurance requirement, but you can keep track of your walking participation on your individual personal physical activity log.
